10 Weeks Session

Coding & Robotics Courses

Grades 7-10

Schedule

  • Starting on November 6, 2021
  • One (1) hour every Saturday morning between 10am and 1pm
  • Ten (10) weeks online program
  • 10 participants and one instructor per group
  • Intermediate to advanced program

Objective

  • Introduce coding and robotics to participants
  • Learn the fundamentals of writing a program,
  • Learn everything about User Interface Development
  • Create stunning, interactive websites and animated robots (virtual)
  • Develop STEM skills and knowledge in an easy and engaging way.

Program Structure

Coding courses (5 sessions)
  • Intro to core programming languages (Python, HTML, Java and JavaScript)
  • User Interface Development
  • Creating and accessing databases using best practices
  • Final project: Mobile App Development
Robotics courses (5 sessions)
  • Fundamental robotic programming structures
  • Play and work with real electrical circuits
  • Exploring industry-leading virtual microcontrollers : the Arduino and the MicroBit
  • Final projects: building and programming a virtual motion-activated robot
