However, you can buy a PROGRAMMABLE DEVICE for your child, where he can use it outside of the workshops. We will provide you with the robot references by January 10, 2023.

Is this program bilingual?

No, the program is offered in French, however it is available to anglophone students who understand French. Instructors encourage the use of French, but students may speak English during workshops, if necessary. A main goal of this program is to establish greater connections between French and English speaking students.

My child has already completed the beginner level of this program and enjoyed his experience. Do you offer an intermediate and/or advanced level of this program?

We are in the process of developing a thorough curriculum for the intermediate and advanced levels of this program. We are hoping to make them both available by January 2024.

How will my child be able to connect to his/her class each Saturday?

Access to the virtual class will be made synchronously and asynchronously. Each registered child will receive a username and password which will be used to enter their class both during the workshops, as well as outside workshop hours. The username and password will be provided to you prior to the start of the first class.

Each class will be made of 10-12 students and 1 instructor. Each student would have the choice to  speak in English or in French.

How much does the program cost?

This program has a value of more than $600, however  parents will only have to pay $200 per child, thanks to Canadian Heritage Financial Support.

Do I have to stay with my child during the virtual workshop?

When do I enter the virtual classroom?

You must enter the virtual classroom at the scheduled time for your child. After paying their processing fees, each student will receive their unique Username and Password to enter their virtual classroom. Can I still register if the program is full?

Yes, you can still submit your application without paying a processing fee if the cohort is full. You will be added to our waiting list and we will send you more details on the next cohort at the end of April 2023.

When is the next session?

The next session will start early October 7, 2023. Register now to be added to our waiting list.

What do I do if my child cannot take a class?

The best way for your child to make the most of their time is to attend their regular workshops and complete the activities provided by their Instructor. It is important that children build a community with their classmates, a positive relationship with their instructor (s) and are constantly exposed to the technologies they discover. We understand, however, that perfect participation is not always possible.

We do our best to assess and respond to all requests on a first come, first served basis while ensuring that instructor / student ratios are maintained. If there are circumstances that require special accommodation to make up for a missed lesson, please contact your kid Instructor or our team.

Do you have any adult programs?

We currently have no programs for adults or high school graduates. The good news is, we are working on a pilot to be announced by the end of 2024.
